This song; and many others from this alum hold a very heavy narretive aspect for me. the tone is pregnant with imagry- after a lot of procrastination i decided i should try and show the world where this beautiful song has taken me.
In my opinion, i believe this song is based from the perspective of a dead man- talking to the wife that survived him. immediately one would find this melancholy, but i still think of this as a wonderfully nurturing love song. i think it conveys how one can love and live with another’s memory in a healthy romantic way. You can still be with somebody who is gone: and that i believe is absolutely beautiful. 
I really didn’t mean for the main character to turn into myself, that was in no way my original intention…
